The taste mobile kitchen is the first kitchen of its kind in Australia, it will be run as a social enterprise, which means the income
generated from commercial hire will pay for community activities.

The kitchen is a modified shipping container, It weighs 6.5 tonnes, is fitted with a state of the art stainless steel and white kitchen. When closed the container measures 6.05m wide x 2.44m deep and is fitted with a hydraulics system that opens the front of the container to form a platform and pushes the rear of the container outwards to form a galley kitchen at the push of a button.

When open, the kitchen is 6.25m deep, and features a retractable awning and retractable mirror over prep area and cooktops for
demonstrations purposes.Fitted out with Euromaid appliances, includingtwo multifunction ovens, two gas cooktops, a ceramic
cooktop, a dishwasher, two taps and a convection microwave oven.
